Configuring Anonymous Access in Microsoft IIS

This topic describes the procedure for configuring anonymous access in IIS.

Process Platform can use either IIS or Apache as its Web server. This topic describes the procedure for configuring anonymous access on IIS, if Process Platform uses IIS as its Web server.

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

    Tip: Alternatively, click Start > Run and type inetmgr then press ENTER.

    The Internet Information Services window appears.
  2. Right-click cordys virtual directory in the tree structure and click Properties. Platform Properties dialog box appears.
  3. Click Directory Security tab.
  4. Click Edit in the Anonymous access and authentication control area or the Authentication and access control area depending on the Windows version you are using.
  5. Select the Enable anonymous access check box, and click OK.

    Note: Ensure that the following options in the Authenticated access area are not selected.

    • Digest authentication for Windows domain servers.
    • Basic authentication (password is sent in clear text).
    • Integrated Windows authentication.
  6. Click OK button.
  7. Click Apply button. The Inheritance Overrides dialog box appears.
  8. Click Cancel button.
    Note: Clicking the OK button would change the settings in the packages and eventservices virtual folders.
  9. Repeat steps 2 - 8 for the virtual directory home.

    Anonymous access is enabled for Process Platform.
